Two People Missing & One Body Recovered in Dehiowita Landslide

Following a landslide in the Deniswatte area in Halthota, Dehiowita, Kegalle District, while one body was recovered two people remain missing.

Heavy rains have been falling in the are overnight. Rescue work have been stopped due to the adverse weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the alternative route in the Colombo – Kandy road at Kegalle was also blocked due to an earth slip.
