The JVP has claimed that the Government is acting in collaboration with the so-called Joint Opposition.
While addressing an event yesterday, JVP Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake said the government continues to level allegations against the JVP instead of bringing the corrupt to book.
MP Dissanayake added the so-called Joint Opposition has also continued to level charges against the JVP, instead of the government.
The JVP Leader accused that a group of individuals have helped the government in covering up investigations against corruption. Accordingly the two groups, the Govt. and the Joint opposition were acting in unison.
He said the so-called Joint Opposition accused the government of exploiting funds and the government in response accused the previous tenure of the United People’s Freedom Alliance led government of Former President MP Mahinda Rajapaksa for corruption.
MP Dissanayake said, that when JVP pointed out Government’s inability, short comings, fraud or. the so-called Joint Opposition accused the JVP of manslaughter in the past
Accordingly, MP Dissanayake said the two parties are working together to avoid addressing issues faced by the country.
