Former DIG Anura Senanayake Under Interrogation in Thajudeen Case

Former DIG Anura Senanayake  has been interrogated by the CID for the second day in connection with the Wasim Thajudeen murder case. He is reported  to have been  accused of  suppressing  offence,  destroying documentary evidences and suspending investigation etc.

Based on facts revealed by the police officers in this connection, he is being questioned. In the meantime , OIC traffic Sarath Sandra, who was in charge of traffic at the time  of the murder made a secret  statement to the court in the presences of  Colombo Additional Magistrate, Nissantha Peris. He made this statement under clause 127 of of the Penal Code.
