The Cyclonic storm ‘ROANU’ in the Bay of Bengal is now located about 1100km north-east of Kankasanturai.It is further moving away from the island.Strong windy conditions over the country and in the sea areas around the island will continue due to the meeting of wind feeding to the system
Several spells of showers will occur in North-Western, Western, Southern, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces.
Showers or thunder showers will occur at a few places in the Eastern provinceafter 2.00 pm.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
