Two Persons in Jayanthi Kuru-Utumpala Everest Climbing Group Reported Dead (UPDATE)

Jayanthi Kuru-Utumpala  under took this task along with others  in  ”2016 IMG Everest Summit Team 1”  reported to have been dead.  In this team 8 others joined .  A few of them have returned back  as they cannot withstand  heavy snow .In additions there were guides and assistants totally  15  persons joined.

Although Jayanthi has reached Everest Summit, Johan Peiris, one of the members from Srilanka is   jet to reach Everest Summit.

Two others in the team reported to  have died due to heavy snow.

First Srilankan to Reach Mount Everest 

Many people have sacrificed their lives in their attempt to climb and reach Mount Everest. It included foreigners.

Jayanthi Kuru-Utumpala, a Srilankan achieved this task and reached top of the Mount Everest. Srilankans should be proud of her achievement.
