The Customs Spokesman said,three Sri Lankan women arriving from Dubai has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport with over 10 kgs of gold slabs.
Three passengers arrived by EK 650 from Dubai were arrested at the BIA in today morning (0900hrs) by the Customs Narcotics Control officers at the Green Channel with more than 10 kgs of gold slabs and jewellery valued at Rs. 60 million. Suspects are three Sri Lankan passengers arrived from Dubai. Further investigation in the case to be handed over to Customs Central Investigation Directorate,” the Spokesman said in a statement.
