Rauf Hakeem Wants EP Chief Minister to Apologize to the Navy Officer

The Chief Minister during a function in Sampur last Friday threatened and scolded the Commanding Officer of Vidura Naval Camp in Sampur. Followed by this incident ,the tri-forces decided to refrain from attending any function attended by the Chief Minister of the Eastern Province. Defence secretary declared that the Chief Minister  not be granted entry to any military camp either.
In the letter, the Chief Minister said he would not hesitate to express his unequivocal regret and apologies to all those who were present at the ceremony for his strong but justifiable reaction which had led to the said incident.
He also added that the responsible officers too should apologize in the best interest of the country.
In the meantime,the SLMC  Rauf Hakeem says the Chief Minister of the Eastern Province Nazeer Ahmed of the SLMC should apologize to the Commanding Officer of Vidura Naval Camp.
It is only after this  the matter can be looked into, he said
The Minister said such incidents should not be allowed to use it as a propaganda material.
The Chief Minister wrote to the President and Prime Minister explaining the details of the recent incident.
