Special Concessionary Internet Packages to Youth

Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure Minister, Harin Fernando recently said that the government was considering various possible methods by which internet access could be given to the people.

As a follow up action, the government is discussing the possibility of  providing internet packages to youths at concessionary rates, Harin Fernando said.

“We are discussing with mobile phone operators to introduce a concessionary data package for those between  18-35 age group, response is very positive” Fernando Tweeted recently.
