Lankan arrested for groping breast on Australian Plane

33 year old Milinda Gunesekara is a resident of West Australia, Perth to be more precise was travelling back home after vacationing in Chille. During the flight change to the last lef of his journey he had finished a bottle of Vodka in a restroom of the Auckland Airport.

Heavily intoxicated, after boarding the plane he had reached through the seats and proceeded to grope and squeeze the breast of the woman sitting in front of him. When asked by the passenger opposite to him he had then used abusive language and behaved in a very vulgar manner.

Milinda was escorted off the flight and subsequently arrested for his behavior and was brought before the Manukau District Court in New Zealand where he was fined AUS 2500.

Half the fine will be given to the victim for her ordeal.

Milinda’s defence team admitted that he had drunk an entire bottle of Vodka and that he couldn’t remember the incident but state that he is very embarrassed by his behavior.

The culprit acknowledges he has a drinking problem which he has since gotten help for in the form of a residential rehabilitation program which he is paying for by himself.

His defense team state that he has since not consumed any alcohol.

Mr. Gunasekara was originally accused of indecent assault and threatening to kill, offences that carry a maximum of seven years in jail.
