JVP in Favour of No Confidence Motion Against Ravi

The JVP has decided to vote in favour of the No Confidence Motion against Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake that will be taken up for debate in Parliament on Wednesday.

JVP Propaganda Secretary MP Vijitha Herath speaking at a media breifing this morning said the Party is not in agreement with the entire motion.

MP Herath said however that the JVP cannot accept the excuses given by the finance minister as the public has been burdened by the continuous increase of taxes.

Parliamentarian Herath added the Party perceives the move as a motion against the government.
