PM To Table Amended Audit Bill to Cabinet This Week

Amendments to Audit Bill  were made by a Cabinet Sub Committee.

Auditor General Gamini Wijesinghe said the amendments related to surcharges and some terms and definitions. The new Bill would help resolve all problems which hindered proper auditing.

The new amended  Audit Bill will be tabled before the Cabinet by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe this week, Auditor General  said.
