China Advises Srilanka to Avoid Pressure Arising out of Ethnic Reconciliation

The China has requested Srilanka Government to avoid pressure exerted by other countries in finding a solution for ethnic reconciliation in Srilanka. China has advised, that it is better for the Srilankan Government to give priority to ethnic reconciliation in Srilanka. Further, China has expressed their displeasure over interference by other countries in Srilanka.

All project under taken by China should be seen as a joint project . In this joint project Srilankan and Indian firms could take part . As far as Srilanka is concerned, there is no hidden agenda of China. If Chinese investments to be continued in Srilanka, there should be political stability in the country. Government change should not affect Government policies. There should be consistency in Government policies despite Government changes. Chinese Ambassador in Srilanka revealed above facts in a meeting held day before yesterday in Colombo.
