Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga is Responsible for Ammunition Blast at Salawa Camp – Namal

Namal Rajapakshe, MP alleged that the Salawa Army camp in Kosgama was established during CBK’s tenure. She had given orders to establish the camp in this residential area despite vehement protests made by the then member of Parliament of the area and people of Kosgama.

After Mahindha Rajapaksa’s regime came into power, he had directed the defence secretary to shift the camp to Veyangoda, Rambewa, Oyamaduwa. While steps were taken to shift salawa Army camp to above designated places, Government changed.

In view of the above facts, Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga should take full responsibility for the ammunition dump blast and destruction that followed, said Namal Rajapakshe.
