“Bring back MR rally” first cannon shot from Mathara begins

The ‘Bring Back Mahinda’ rally which campaigns to reinstate former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Premier (PM) candidate held in Matara town this evening.

Speaking at the rally, ex-Minister Bandula Gunawardana stated that 76 MPs are participating in the rally in Matara.

Several Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Parliamentarians and Mahajana Eksath Peramuna (MEP) supremo Dinesh Gunawardana, National Freedom Front (NFF) leader Wimal Weerawansa, Pivithuru Hela Urumaya leader (PHU) Udaya Gammanpila, Democratic Left Front (DLF) leader Wasudeva Nanayakkara are among the Parliamentarians that are participating in the rally.

Simultaneously, a number of Provincial Councilors and Local Government members including Western Provincial Council Chief Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, former Chief Ministers of the Uva and the North Central Provincial Councils Shashindra Rajapaksa and S.M. Ranjith are also present at the occasion.
