A senior officer reported to have instructed two officers of the Central Bank to erase the data, the Anti-corruption Front claimed. However, the two junior officers have refused to carry out the instructions, the ACF also said.
The Anti Corruption Front claims that there is an attempt to erase all data regarding the controversial bond issue at the Central Bank.
The attempt to erase the date is been carried out at a time when Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran is facing the possibility of not been reappointed at the end of his term, the Anti-Corruption Front further stated.
