Basil Rajapaksa Before Presidential Commission Today

Former Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa has been summoned before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry today(10). He was summoned in respect of following 3 charges.
01.  The employment of 150 Army and Navy personnel for personal services between the 10th of January 2010 and 10th of January 2015, and misusing state funds amounting to 260 million rupees.
02. Basil misusing more than 155 million rupees of the Gama Neguma fund between June 2010 and  7th of November 2014 for Air travel.
03.The purchase of 14 vehicles in addition to the three vehicles officially issued to a Minister and the expenditure of 20 million rupees for fuel during his tenure as Minister of Economic Development.
