Some SLFP Members Who Brought No confidence on Ravi Congratulated Him

State Minister Priyankara Jayaratne said several MPs who voted in favour of the No-Confidence Motion tabled against Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake came  and congratulated the Finance minister.

State Minister Priyankara Jayaratne speaking at a rally in Naththandiya yesterday said the MPs shouldn’t have submitted the No-Confidence Motion,if they were going to congratulate him.

He said questions have been raised pertaining to the formation of the present government and the motive behind members of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party being part of the present government.

Priyankara Jayaratne said the the present government is neither a UNP nor an SLFP government.

State Minister Priyankara Jayaratne charged that the No-Confidence motion was brought by SLFP members to divide the party.

However, he stressed as a party, they decided not to abandon the country.
