16 Arrested with 100 KG Heroin

Sixteen (16 ) suspects arrested and remanded in connection with the seizure of 100 kilograms of heroin will be produced before the Fort Magistrate’s Court today(14).

13 foreign nationals were arrested on the 30th of March in an operation to bust a large stock of heroin at Sea by the Police Narcotics Bureau.

A detailed report into the drug haul will also be produced in court today. 10 Iranians, 1 Singaporean, 1 Indian and a Pakistani national were arrested over the incident.

Among the suspects was an Iranian minor who is currently held at the Makola rehabilitation camp upon court orders.
