Travel Abroad by Tiran Alles Allowed by High Court

Tiran Alles’s revision application against the Fort Magistrate’s refusal to release his passport was taken up today. Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne had refused the request, stating  that it could not be entertained as he was a suspect of a serious financial fraud.

Alles filed the revision application requesting the High Court to overturn the decision.

However, High Court Judge A.A.R. Heyiyanthudawa  allowed Tiran Alles to travel abroad for medical treatment after considering the report filed by the Colombo Chief JMO.

Accordingly, Alles will be allowed to travel abroad for a period of three weeks within the next three month period.
