Monthly Compensation Continued to be Paid to Salawa Victims

Divisional Secretary of Seethawaka M.M.S.K. Bandara said, that a monthly compensation of Rs.50,000 was given  to 198 residents,  whose houses were damaged in the explosions at the Salawa Army Camp.

He added that steps will be taken to provide compensation to 240 more residents, who lost their houses and added  that 100 houses were being examined to determine whether compensation is to be considered .

The Divisional Secretary noted that 52 businesses had sought compensation worth Rs.50,000  for their businesses which were destroyed in the incident.
