Mahaweli project employees are staging the protest as they were not provided with promised compensation and facilities by Mahaweli Authority for the sacrifices they had to make for Moragahakanda-Kalu gaha project.
The campaigners have marched from Naguruwela village to the Mahaweli quarters and commenced protesting keeping a coffin blocking Moragahakanda- Hettipola route from Wellawa junction.
