Death Toll Rises to 7 – Ballapana Bus Van Collision

Three persons demised as a bus collided with a van in Ballapana in Galigamuwa area along Colombo- Kandy road.

Death toll of Ballapana junction road accident has escalated to seven.

Three- a woman and two men demised on-the-spot as a private bus collided with a van in Ballapana junction in Galigamuwa area along Colombo- Kandy road.

Another woman who was among hospitalized 10, succumbed to injuries last evening.

Meanwhile, three more people have demised today while receiving medical treatments at Kegalle base hospital.

All who demised were passengers in the van which was heading back to homes in Nittambuwa and Urapola after visiting the Temple of Tooth in Kandy.

The dead bodies remain at Kegalle base hospital morgue.
