Basil’s New Party Convention in Colombo

As most of the local councillors have joined the Joint opposition, they won’t be given nominations by the SLFP for the forth coming Local Government election. Hence they have decided to form a new party.

New party’s first target is to face local Government election.

Basil Rajapakshe is spearheading in formation of the new party. He is involved in forming branch offices in the all Districts. Symbol and its Leaders will be announced in the National Convention.

Some of the SLFP members are against Basil playing an important role in forming the new party. Hence, they have decided not to actively involve in party work.
