Postal Trade Unions Strike Action Threat

The Convenor of the Postal Services Trade Union Collective,  Chinthaka Bandara said that they have launched a trade union action on the 17th of this month over 14 demands including resolving salary anomalies, lack of procedure for recruitment and payment for overtime work.
However the strike action was called off after assurances were given by authorities pertaining to the demands made by the postal workers.
If authorities fail to meet their  demands as promised by authorities, the members of the union will be forced to launch another strike from midnight on Monday 4th July 2016.
