Suspension of Mahinda & 6 others from SLFP is Imminent ?

 The reorganizing committee of the SLFP   met day before  yesterday (07) at Ahungalle, chaired by former president Chandrika Kumaratunga.  The reorganizing committee of the SLFP   has received a proposal to suspend the party membership of ex-president Mahinda Rajapaksa and six other MPs of the joint opposition. Apart from Mahinda Rajapaksha, the others cited for suspension are Dullas Alahapperuma, Kumar Welgama, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Bandula Gunawardena, Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Prasanna Ranatunga.

Before suspending them , the Committee decided to hold  a disciplinary inquiry.

On July 19, party leader, president Maithripala Sirisena  scheduled to hold a meeting  with all electoral organizers of the SLFP to the Foundation Institute in Colombo. A proposal is due to be adopted there to take strong disciplinary action against those who issue statements and act outside against party decisions.
