Namal Remanded Till 18th July 2016 (UPDATE)

UPFA MP Namal Rajapaksa was remanded till July 18 by Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne in connection with the financial fraud case amounting to Rs 70 million.

Namal Arrested (UPDATE)
Namal Rajapaksa was  summoned to appear before the FCID today Morning. Followed by this  he was  arrested by FCID short while ago.

Namal Summoned FCID
MP Namal Rajapaksa has been summoned to appear before the FCID today (11), in connection with a Rs. 70 million fraud.He has asked Krrish Group to donate the sum in question to Ceylon Premier sports club in order for the development of rugby.
However, the money has gone to a personal account, investigations have revealed.
A statement will be recorded from him in that regard.
Meanwhile, seven other MPs of the joint opposition, including Wimal Weerawansa and Mahindananda Aluthgamage have been asked to show cause by the bribery commission with regard to allegations against them.
