Iththakande Saddatissa Thera Summoned by Presidential Commission

In order to record a statement in connection with using a vehicle belonging to the State Engineering Corporation for his personal use during Mahinda’s government, General Secretary of the Ravana Balaya organisation Iththakande Saddatissa Thera has been summoned to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry today.

The complaint cites that the vehicle was provided to Iththakande Saddatissa Thera  under  false pretext that  he was  part of Former Minister’s officials staff.

Information has revealed that the vehicle was released for Saddatissa thera’s personal use following directives issued by Former Minister of Housing and Construction Wimal Weerawansa.

Further, Investigations into the incident are continuing over charges of renting out the vehicle to other parties.
