President Maithreepala on Preferential Voting System.

President Maithreepla while addressing  Samaweera Chandrasiri’s 45th year annual memorial day event said, that in the years between 1950 and 1960, politicians  were well respected by the people. Because they worked hard for the party policies and their constituencies. Today preferential voting system has  ruined every thing and elected representatives concentrate on accumulating personal wealth and develop themselves leaving the public to suffer.
