ACMC Supremo Minister Rishad Bathiudeen ‘Ramadhan Greeting’ to all Sri Lankan Muslims

 

I sincerely pray at this moment of the dawn of the Holy Month of Ramadan for peace and tranquility in the lives of the Muslims of Sri Lanka as well as the Muslims living all over the world.

Let us perform our worships, prayers and other activities during the 30 days of this blessed Holy Month of Ramadan in a dignified manner to create trust about us among other communities.

Let us make our breakfast humbly together with the under privileged brethren of ours.

Let us submissively raise both hands of ours towards Almighty Allah and seek His assistance in this Holy Month which is considered as a month greater than one thousand months against the unlawful and atrocious activities being carried out towards our community.

Let us not forget that the last month of Ramadan was a fearful, dark and abysmal month for our society.  Today that situation has been changed and our society has got the opportunity of celebrating this Holy Month in happy and piety throughout the country.  Let us thank Almighty Allah for ushering in this situation for us.

I also beg all Sri Lankans including the Sri Lankan Muslims living in overseas countries as well to use this Holy Month in a manner most acceptable to Allah by involving in night prayers, offering charities to the poor and the needy and by helping our society.
