Wheat Import Licenses to 2 Ministers

News in circulation disclosed the fact, that wheat import licenses have been issued to two ministers of the good governance government representing Anuradhapura. One Minister is from the UNP and the other is from the SLFP.

One has been given permission to import wheat to be sold to producers of fodder, while the other to sell to farmers.

However, so far  wheat has not been imported for farmers, and there is suspicion the other minister is using the wheat to distill beer.

A leading Anuradhapura businessman said to have been invested and operating behind the scene.

While president is  taking steps to eliminate the alcohol menace, this new development has surprised and shocked  the SLFP members.
