Regularising Three Wheelers in Western Province

Western province Passenger Transport Authority has taken steps to regularize three-wheelers in the Western Province. Accordingly, Three-wheeler operators are requested to register their three wheelers in respective regional offices as from today. Registration will be done up to 30^th July 2016. After July 30^th , all three wheelers which have not been registered with the authority will be prohibited from using it in the Western province. Once registered   a special identity card will be issued to each vehicle. In addition three wheel drivers will also be issued identity card.

Further, Western province Passenger Transport Authority has indicated that the basic starting charge of Rs 50  for the first kilo meter and Rs 40 for each additional kilo meter will also be implemented.
