40,000 Students Became Slaves for Smoking

In Srilanka students between the age group 13 and 16 numbering 40,000  continue to enjoy smoking.
Among the school students, the smoking habit has come down this year when compared with previous years.
In the year 2011 smoking rates among students was 8%. This has come down to 3% in 2015, said Dr Palitha Abayakon Director of National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol.
