Civic Rights of Gota to be Removed?
Minister of Foreign affairs, Mangala Samaraweera reported to have said, that if proper investigation into the purchase of MiG planes in 2006 is done, civic rights of Gota may be removed.
Already investigation into the purchase of MiG planes commenced. In this connection Director (Legal) of the Srilankan Airforce appeared before the Fort Magistrate, Lanka Jayaratne and made his observations on MIG purchase in 2006.
It was revealed that original documents in connection with the MIG purchase is missing. Fort Magistrate ordered Director (Legal) of the Srilankan Airforce to submit a detailed report in this connection to the court on 25th July 2016.
