Anura Senanayake Bail Hearing on 8th September 2016.

Colombo High Court Judge Manilal Waidyatilleke yesterday (25) decided to take into consideration the bail appeal application filed by former Western Province Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Anura Senanayake who is in remand custody in connection with the murder of Rugby Player  Wasim Thajudeen on 8 September 2016.

The Judge issued notice to the Officer-In-Charge of the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and the Attorney General who have been named as respondents in the Bail appeal filed by Anura Senanayke to submit objections if any regarding granting bail.
Anura Senanayake has requested the High Court to grant him bail by rectifying the order issued by the Additional Magistrate of Colombo Nishantha Peiris, to remand him in connection with the Wasim Thajudeen murder.
