Deploying a Child During Pada Yathra Under Investigation (Video)

 

The child protection authority said that they have received complaints from public alleging that a child has been trained and deployed to shout slogans against Government Leaders and the State. He was seen carried by Namal Rajapakshe on his shoulders.

Spokesman for Child Protection Authority, Ediriweera Gunasekara said that an inquiry is underway in this connection. Further he said, engaging children in this type of events will badly affect the minds of them. This particular incident has created awareness regarding their children being exploited by politicians.
