Anura & Sumith Further Remanded in Thajudeen Murder

Thajudeen murder case  was taken up for inquiry before Colombo Additional Magistrate Mohamad Mihal today.

The CID today informed the  Courts that an investigation has been launched on telephone calls from numbers of the Presidential Secretariat to the then Narahenpita OIC on the day of the murder.

The CID also said two of their officers will be flying to Canada on 21 st August  regarding the report of the CCTV records.

In the meantime Senior DIG Anura Senanayake and former Narahenpita Crimes OIC Sumith Champika Perera, who are in remand custody in connection with  the Thajudeen murder, were further remanded till 10th August 2016.
