Maithri refuses to give MR nomination from SLFP

President Maithripala Sirisena has decided not to give former President Mahinda Rajapakse nomination from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) stated Cabinet Spokesperson Rajitha Senaratne.

Rajitha also stated that Mahinda rajapakse had come to visit President Sirisena on two occasions, first to ask for the post of Prime Minister and secondly to ask for nomination from the SLFP.

He concluded that the President had refused both requests and that Mahinda Rajapkse’s dreams would remain unfulfilled.
