Joint Opposition to take legal Action

Kandy District UPFA Parliamentarian Dilum Amunugama yesterday said that the Joint Opposition (JO) will resort to legal action if their party membership is suspended by the party framing various charges.
He said that the party is attempting to suspend the membership of SLFP Parliamentarians who participated in the Paada Yathra citing various reasons.
“The party cannot have any influence on their Parliamentary seats,”he said.
He said that the party was unable to stop the forward march of the Joint Opposition even if the party attempts to strip the organizer posts of several Joint Opposition members.
Amunugama stressed that the Joint Opposition members consider the opinion of the party members as more important than the opinion of the party.
“We will have no other option than forming an alternative on the long run,”he stressed.
