2,500 Oral Cancer Patients Diagnosed in Srilanka

The health ministry said that  2,500 oral cancer patients are newly diagnosed every year. This is at the rate of around six new patients a day.
Oral cancer is most common men, mostly the elderly, which is 23.6 %.
The causes for oral cancer are betel, tobacco chewing, smoking and alcohol consumption.
