Mr Bilal Anwar Kasi, renowned lawyer in the region was shot dead on Monday morning on his way to a courtroom in Quetta. His death comes amid heightened tensions in Pakistan linked to a separatist insurgency and rising crime rates. While mourners gathered to pay their respects to him in hospital in Pakistan’s Baluchistan province, bomb went off killing 36 people and injuring more than 30.
