Parliamentary Session Suspended
Office of Missing Persons Bill was presented to the Parliament and being debated. In yesterday party leader ‘s meeting it was agreed to call for vote on the bill tomorrow (12). However, in today’s parliamentary session Joint Opposition led by Dinesh Gunawardana vehemently opposed to take the bill for voting tomorrow. He said, that there are dangerous provisions in the bill, which have to be carefully studied . Hence, they needs sufficient time before voting. Joint Opposition members walked into the well of the house and shouted slogans. Hence, Parliamentary session was temporally suspended.
