Mahinda Proud of Namal Being Remanded?

The Former President has told his close associate that he is proud of his eldest son, Namal Rajapaksa, being remanded.  “Going inside is like getting a degree. My father had been in remand custody. I had been in remand custody for a long time. To say the least, I attended my mother’s funeral, while in remand custody. Two of my three sons have been in remand custody like their father and grandfathers. I do not mind even if my wife and the youngest too, get remanded.”

He spoke his mind thus “All those around me were conspirators. Had I listened to what my sons said, I would still have been the president. Hereafter, I will only listen to what Namal says. He may be young, but he has a very good political knowledge. One day, he will reach my position. When compared with Namal, Gota and Basil are still in the Montessori.”

But on the other hand Mahinda’s friends said that, “If not for his sons, the boss would still have been the President.”
