PM & Delegation Visited Shekou Container Terminal

 Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and his Sri Lankan delegation have participated in an observation tour of the Shekou Container Terminal in Shenzhen yesterday.

The Shekou Container Terminal is considered the busiest container terminal in the world, and holds a significant place among the world’s top 20 leading container terminals.

During the visit , Sri Lanka and China discussed and exchanged ideas on how the China Merchant Company located within China’s only private free trade zone could share their expertise and knowledge on Sri Lanka’s future ports and container terminal operations, as well as the planning of Free Trade Zones.
