National Museum to get state-of-the-art security system

 

State Minister of Culture and Arts Nandimithra Ekanayake states that a state-of-the-art security system will be installed at the National Museum in Colombo.

Minister Ekanayake engaged in an inspection tour of the National Museum in Colombo on Thursday. The minister, who toured the museum, later spoke to school children who were visiting the museum at that time.

Adding further, the Minister said that the renovation activities being carried out at present, commenced last August.

“And in the future, we hope to provide security for the museum using state-of-the-art technology. A Police Unit has been established for the security of the museum, and if more force is needed in the future, steps will be taken to further tighten security at the National Museum,” he stated.
