Weliwita Claimed Rs157.5 M Confiscated by the State doesn’t Belongs to CSN

Director of CSN Rohan Welivita claimed  on Thursday (18) that the Rs 157.5 million, which was confiscated by the government recently, did not belong to the Carlton Sports Network (CSN), But this money belongs to a company by the name of Amtrad Holdings (Pvt) Ltd. He said that he was made to understand, by the officers of the FCID that this money belongs to a company called Amtrad Holdings (Pvt) Ltd.
Further he said  that no director or shareholder of the company, from its inception up to now, owned the money which was confiscated.
Some media reports had mistakenly reported that one of the directors of Amtrad Holdings, by the name of ‘Rohan’ – was myself. This confusion has damaged the reputation that I built up over four decades as a media person and an artiste. I would be much obliged if this clarification can be given the same prominence as the previous reports on this matter, he appealed to  the media.
However, he has failed to mention the names of directors of Amtrad Holdings (Pvt) Ltd and the company’s affiliations to CSN.
