Weather Forecast For 21st August 2016

Fairly strong wind (up to 50-60kmph) is expected to continue over the Southern sea area, Southern province and Central hills of the island.

Several spells of light showers will occur in the Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

A few showers may occur in the Western and North-western provinces.

Thundershowers will occur at few places in the Eastern, Uva, Northern and North-Central provinces particularly after 2.00 p.m.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
