The first look of S.S. Rajamouli’s highly anticipated Baahubali – The Conclusion, which is nearing completion, will be unveiled as a special treat to fans on Prabhas’s birthday on October 23. According to the film’s spokesperson, “the makers are planning to offer a double treat to the audience and unveil particular content from the sequel which can be released on Prabhas’s birthday”.
It has almost been a tradition for the makers to make Prabhas’s birthday special as last year too, on the eve of his birthday while shooting the first instalment of the film, the makers surprised him by celebrating on the sets.
Currently filming the movie’s climax in Hyderabad, the makers have confirmed that the film will hit the screens on April 28, 2017. The film also stars Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan in the lead.
Baahubali: The Beginning star Prabhas was earlier elated over the film’s trailer getting a rave response in China, and says he “can’t wait for audiences there to watch the movie”. The S.S. Rajamouli directorial, which bagged two honours, including Best Feature Film at the 63rd National Awards this year, will release in China on Friday.
“My team has been sharing with me all the feedback to the content that has been released in China and the excitement they have for the film. It is so overwhelming. I can’t wait for audiences there to watch the film,” Prabhas said in a statement. Baahubali, which raked in over Rs 600 crore via its theatrical release, is the story of two brothers warring for a kingdom. The film also stars Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia and Anushka Shetty.
Prabhas plays the title role in the film, and will be back in the second part of the movie Baahubali: The Conclusion, which is already in the works. If everything goes as planned, the film will hit the screens on April 18, 2017. Ever since it’s Indian release, the film has been travelling in various countries, due to its public demand.
