Weather Forecast For 24th August 2016

Fairly strong wind (up to 50-60kmph) is expected over the Southern province and Central hills of the island.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere,particularly Eastern and Uva provinces after 2.00 p.m.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
