Former United People’s Freedom Alliance,MP Tiran Alles and three others are due to appear before the Colombo High Court today(24) after being issued notice on the 15th of August.
Notice was also issued against Rohan Saliya Weerawickramasuriya, Jayantha Dias and a former leader of the LTTE Emil Kanthan. The Attorney General has filed charges at the Colombo High Court against the four individuals in connection with the misuse of 200 million rupees given to the Reconstruction and Development Agency in order to provide relief to those affected by the Tsunami in the North-Eastern Province.
Court was informed that the funds were provided to RADA through the Presidential Secretariat.
