Coastal conservation officers assaulted in Tangalle

 

Two coastal conservation officers have allegedly been assaulted in Tangalle area.

Director General (DG) of the coastal conservation department, Prabath Chandrakeerthi, stated the two officers were attacked while going to inspect a site of an illegal construction. The officers were admitted to the Tangalle Hospital following the assault.

Police are conducting further investigations.
